Heatfit Inserts

The 'Heatfit' range of threaded inserts is suitable for all types of thermoplastic materials. All inserts can be installed using 'heat staking' or 'ultrasonic' equipment and are available in a range of sizes and studded versions.

Product Advantages:

• The use of heat minimises the stress introduced into the boss
• Heat installation provides high torque and pull-out performance
• Easy to install using heat staking or ultrasonics

Applications:

• Hole Preparation: Moulded holes are recommended. The hole diameter is measured at the point where the bottom of the insert meets the moulded hole.
• Installation: The insert is installed by either pre-heateing the insert or the use of ultrasonics.
• Wall Thickness: An appropriate guide is that the wall thickness should ideally not be less than 1/2 the diameter.
